01Methodology
Organized around the committee’s decision
Each program starts with what your investment committee needs to see. Sourcing, screening, and research follow from that.
Step 1. Define the decision
Agree on what the portfolio needs, what would rule an opportunity out, and what the decision body must receive.
Step 2. Build the universe
Assemble a universe specific to the mandate through sourcing relationships, targeted research, referrals, and direct outreach.
Step 3. Screen and investigate
Apply one standard to strategy, people, track record, operations, terms, conflicts, and implementation risk.
Step 4. Prepare the decision
Put the shortlist, the diligence findings, and the open questions in front of the committee.
Step 5. Support implementation
Coordinate further diligence, discussions with managers and sponsors, and handoffs to your advisors while maintaining the pipeline.
02Research standards
Research standards
Each review states plainly what we verified, what the manager represented, and what we concluded. Conflicts and unresolved questions are written down rather than settled quietly. Every opportunity in a mandate is measured against the same criteria, and every mandate carries a current pipeline, a governance record, and a follow-up schedule.
